Ellen wanted to create an online store to sell her paintings.
Briefly about the project
Ellen is about to retire and wants to spend more time painting. She has received a good response to the pictures of her paintings that she has published on Instagram. Several people had expressed interest in buying the pictures. Therefore, she wanted to set up an online store where she could present her gallery and sell pictures to the whole world.
The challenge
As painting is currently a hobby and Ellen does not sell paintings on a large scale, it was important to find an online store solution that was not expensive to operate. Since the website targets both Norwegian and foreign buyers, it was desired that the website would be available in both Norwegian and English.
Our solution
The advantage of setting up an online store in WordPress and WooCommerce is that there are no fixed costs associated with this. PayPal was chosen as the payment solution because it is an internationally recognized solution that also allows you to pay by bank or credit card. A language selector in the menu allows you to change the language to English.

I have received help from, for a period of 6 months, hjemmesidene.no. They suggested a template for the page and guided me through the process of developing it. They have included text and images that I have written/created. They have sent videos with guidance when I have needed it.
