How long does it take to get a new website up and running for a business?
This depends on how large and complex the page is. For a standard website it takes normally around 3 to 5 weeks from the first meeting to launch. We are usually able to deliver the website faster if necessary, for example within one week. Typically, most of the time it takes to build the website is related to waiting for information and feedback from the customer.
Do we own the website after launch?
Yes, 100 %. Once the website is complete and paid for, full ownership is transferred to you. The site is built in WordPress, the world's most used website platform. This means you are completely free and not locked into us as a provider.
The website also comes with a lifetime license for Divi (the design system), so you have full access to the tools and future updates without hidden monthly costs.
How do we register a domain?
We recommend that you register the domain for your business website with The Webhouse (.no domains) or Pork bun (international domains like .com, .net, etc.). At Webhuset it costs only 7 kr for a .no domain for the first year and then 99 kr. You do not need to order web hosting or e-mail (this is suggested by default in the order form, but you can opt out), we take care of that via our web hosting. A .net domain costs 249 kr per year at Webhuset. At porkbun.com it costs $12.52 years (NOK 117). So it's around half the price of annual fees on international domains at Porkbun rather than from Norwegian suppliers.
Should we choose WordPress, Squarespace, Wix or Shopify?
We use almost exclusively WordPress, as it is the most widely used solution for websites. It offers an incredible number of possibilities, because many people develop plugins for the platform. It is an advantage to use WordPress, because most web developers will be familiar with the solution. This means you are Freer in choosing a supplier for drifting of the website.
Squarespace and Wix are good choices if you are going to set up a simple website yourself. You can start with pre-designed sections and get a nice result, but you may later find that you have limited functionality and have to change platforms. If you want a professional website for your business, it is better to start with WordPress and use a company, because the quality will be better.
Shopify is one of the world's most popular online store solutions. They offer integrations with Bring/Posten, PostNord, Vipps, Klarna, Nets, Tripletex and Fiken. The disadvantage is that you do not own the code yourself. While WordPress' online store solution is free, Shopify requires a subscription and takes a platform fee per sale.

Is it worth using a company or creating your own website?
The tools for creating your own website have improved. At the same time, it is often the case that requires a disproportionate amount of time for a business owner to achieve a really good result. When you let us build the site, you are guaranteed a first impression that creates trust, technical stability and a design that converts visitors into customers.
Why should we choose you as a supplier?
We have very good reviews and offers price guarantee and 100% satisfaction guarantee. Compared to our competitors, we have lower prices and faster delivery time. We have experienced taking over the operation of websites that others have set up, where the websites were not designed to be updated. We don't just deliver a website; we offer continuous follow-up. We offer quick personal follow-up via email, video calls and instructional videos. If you want to switch from us to another provider at a later date, it is reassuring to know that over 2 million websites use the same website builder that we use; Divi. This means you can be confident that you have many alternative companies that can operate your website. We build your website in WordPress, the world's most popular publishing system, with the theme Divi. Divi is a drag-and-drop builder and is ranked among the best WordPress themes in the world. It has 4.8/5 stars on TrustPilot based on approximately 25,000 reviews. If you buy a website through us, you get a lifetime license to Divi, sub-themes and extensions included, saving you thousands of kroner. Explore our best design templates (subtheme for Divi).
Should we upgrade the existing website or build a new one?
It depends on the current technical state of the website, how old it is, and what you want to achieve. It is often faster, cheaper, and more forward-looking to start with a clean slate.
It is often best to build a new website for your business if:
-
The website is more than 4–5 years old or has an outdated technical platform.
-
The design does not work optimally on mobile phones (non-responsive).
-
The website loads slowly and is difficult to adapt to modern security or universal design requirements (accessibility).
It may be worth upgrading a business website if:
-
The existing site is built on a modern and clean technical platform.
-
You only need to add a few new features or update texts and images.

What should we include on the website?
A website for a company should at least contain a presentation of their services and general contact information. It is an advantage to have your own landing pages for products and services that you want to highlight, so that you can target searches for them in search engines. It is important here that the texts are short and concise. On the web, people skim and often do not read the entire text. Therefore, the most important information should come first in each text and in each sentence. By highlighting keywords in bold, you help the reader catch the main message. It pays to have references from existing customers to build trust. In addition, it may be appropriate to have a presentation of projects, an overview of employees, contact forms, answers to frequently asked questions, news, newsletter sign-up and online store.
Do you adapt the website to mobile?
Yes, mobile view has priority because statistics show that around 75% of % will visit the company's website via mobile. When you are in edit mode, you will be able to see how your website will look on desktop, tablet and mobile. You can easily customize the settings for each device. Our design templates are already fine-tuned for each of these devices.
What are the requirements for universal design?
In Norway it is legally required that corporate websites must have a universal design. The requirements are specified by Directorate of Digitalisation and follows The WCAG standard. This means, for example, that users with impaired vision should be given a text alternative for non-text content. It is recommended to avoid using "Read more" as a link text, because it is unclear to screen readers what this link leads to. To take color blindness into account, presentations that rely solely on color should not be used.
What requirements are set out in GDPR?
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) requires that websites for companies must have a privacy policy and a consent to the use of cookies which are not strictly necessary. The website must use secure encryption (HTTPS) through an SSL certificate to protect contact forms, login information and payment information from unauthorized access. The user must provide active consent to the storage of this information. It should be as easy to object to or withdraw consent as it was to give it.
Do you help with operations and updates afterwards?
Yes, absolutely! Having a website requires keeping it updated. We offer our own operating agreements where we take care of security updates, backups and technical operations, so you can focus on your core business. With over ten years of experience and Norwegian customer service, you can be sure that you will get fast and good help when you need it.
What type of web hosting do you offer?
Their website will be on ours. Business web hosting at Hosting. Data is stored on European LiteSpeed servers, which are up to 6 times faster than traditional Apache servers. Together with the LiteSpeed Cache plugin, which includes image optimization, it provides a better user experience through faster page loading. We also set up CDN (Content Delivery Network), so that the website loads from the nearest web server. Hostinger guarantees that the website is up 99.9% of the time, so the website is down for a maximum of 5 hours in a year due to server maintenance.
What do you do to ensure security on the website?
To ensure the security of the website, we ensure that we install SSL certificate, hide login so it is not visible to hackers and limit the number of possible login attempts. We set up strong passwords. If you want additional security, we can activate two-factor authentication. Automatic Wordpress updates ensures that security holes are closed as soon as they are discovered. We take backup locally, in addition to the fact that the web hotel has backups from the last 7 days. By blocking access to edit the Wordpress files via the Wordpress control panel, we limit the damage if an unauthorized person nevertheless gets in. We connect to Cloudflare, so that the website is protected from spam bots. Email addresses are protected from copying using Javascript, so you avoid spam. These security measures are in line with WP Beginner's Ultimate WordPress Security Guide.
Do you help with email setup?
In some cases, it may be appropriate to keep your email accounts with your existing provider. Many people also let their email go through Microsoft's email server if they have an Office 365 subscription. We give you up to 100 free email accounts for the first year, each with up to 1 GB of storage. You get webmail in addition to us helping you set up your email accounts in your preferred app or email program. After a year, the price is approx. 10 NOK/month per email account if you order for 4 years.
How do we become visible in search engines?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) helps you rank higher in Google and other search engines. First, we use Google Keyword Search to identify keywords that have relatively high search volume and lower competition. We use the plugin Yoast SEO to target your pages to the keywords you want to appear for. In addition, we help you customize the images and texts that appear in search results and when links to your pages are shared on social media. By registering the website in Google Search Console and uploading the sitemap, we help Google index the website.
Can we see statistics on the number of visitors?
Yes, we can extract statistics from Cloudflare about the number of visitors and the number of visits per page. While Google focuses on deep marketing analytics, Cloudflare focuses on privacy and simplicity. Cloudflare shows the real number of visitors by filter out spam traffic. They do not use cookies. This means that you don't have to show an annoying cookie banner to collect statistics. Cloudflare does not affect the speed of the website as we use Cloudflare as DNS/proxy. This measures traffic at the core level (edge/server-side) without loading an external JavaScript script. This gives faster page loading and a better experience for website visitors. GA4 requires a heavier script (often over 70KB) which can slow down the page. Many browsers and ad blockers automatically block GA tracking. Cloudflare captures more of the actual traffic because it runs primarily at the infrastructure level.
